Objectives:
This workshop presents the latest evidence and the current status of autogenous soft tissue grafting for soft tissue augmentation and recession coverage at teeth and dental implant sites.
The indications and predictability of the free gingival graft and connective tissue graft (CTG) techniques are highlighted, together with their expected clinical and esthetic outcomes.
CTGs can be harvested from the maxillary tuberosity or from palate with different approaches that can have an impact on graft quality and patient morbidity.
The influence of CTGs on soft tissue thickness and keratinized tissue width will also be discussed.
Theoretical part :- ~Role of soft tissue grafting “Fancy surgery or necessity?!” ~Suggested oral places for graft harvesting. ~Palatal anatomy… knowledge you should know. ~Types of soft tissue graft to be harvested and its role. ~Different techniques for harvesting. ~ Tuberosity graft harvesting. ~Rotated Palatal flap, role and technique. ~Soft tissue graft handling and management. ~Graft healing, survival and how to avoid failure. ~Palatal complications… how to avoid & how to manage?! ~Alternatives for autogenous graft “ADM, EMD, CM, PRF”.
Practical part (on sheep head):1) Free gingival graft harvesting2) Single horizontal flap and connective tissue graft harvesting. 3) Tuberosity graft harvesting. 4) Rotated Palatal flap. 5) Suturing techniques for graft fixation with different flap design ( CAF, tunnel, APF) and palatal management
