The ProTaper Next X4 rotary file has a tip size 040 and 6% taper, and is used after the ProTaper Next X3 file if the apical foramen is larger than a size 030.
The ProTaper Next X3 rotary file has a tip size 030 and 7% taper, and is used after the ProTaper Next X2 file if the apical foramen is larger than a size 025.
