Nickel-titanium NiTi tools are much more flexible, harder and stronger, have better cutting capacity, are more economical, as you can work them 2-3 times more than conventional tools. They have a shape memory (always return to their original shape).Manual files NiTi type K (Kerr) best for finding canals and working the thin root canals. With a tightly twisted steel spiral, four cutting edges (low ability of cutting), flexible - provide safety. Low ability to transport outside the cut dentin. The apex angle is 60 degrees.Files can be re-sterilized by dry air at a temperature of 180 degrees C in a steam autoclave at 135 degrees C or in the quartz balls sterilizers.
